Leadership...   J. Benton Mayberry - Prior to starting Winston Sage, Mr. Mayberry was involved in the IT business for over 25 years.  He has managed, started and advised companies in the professional services and software arenas.  His experience includes vice-chairman of Align Solutions Corp., founder and leadership positions within BSG, and the consulting division of Arthur Andersen & Co.  He is past president of the Houston Angel Network and Jones School Partners at Rice University. He is on the board of directors of Sweet Leaf Tea and DI Central.  He is also on the advisory board of the Houston Technology Center's Energy and IT groups.  He has held a variety of other board and advisory board positions for private companies.  He holds a BA in Mathematical Studies and a MA in Accounting from Rice University.   Richard M. Scruggs - In addition to his position with Winston Sage Partners, Mr. Scruggs is the CEO of Salient Pharmaceuticals, a start-up drug company.  Previously, Mr. Scruggs was Director of Texas A&M University's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship.  Prior to starting Winston Sage, he spent over 20 years in the systems integration business.  He was the founder, CEO and Chairman of Align Solutions Corp., In 1999 Align was recognized as the fastest growing private firm in the Houston area and Mr. Scruggs was honored as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.  Align was bought by Luminant Worldwide in 1999 and Mr. Scruggs helped take the company public.  His prior experience includes Andersen Consulting, BSG Alliance/IT and Perot Systems.  He serves on the Advisory Board of the Houston Technology Center and the board of the Houston Angel Network.  He also serves on the board or advisory board of several local private companies.  Mr. Scruggs holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and a MBA from Texas A&M University.
